DREUN
In the frame of the course Interdisciplinary Projects, the second grade students Music, Music Management and Music Technics were assigned to develop a mobile music performance for the O-Parade, the annual climax of the May celebrations in the city of Genk. The parade consists of a mix of international street theatre acts and folk societies from Genk and draws an audience of over 100.000 people.
During the course they developed DREUN, a fanfare with instruments made from recycled materials. The students wrote a composition, designed costumes, flags, instruments and a procession piece. On May 1st the group went to Genk to participate in the parade.
