One Day in Studio Schenk

The students specialization music production went to Studio Schenk in Amsterdam early December to gain insight into the workflow of the production process under superivion of producer Jan Schenk.

The students were given the assignment to record the song Cause = Time by Broken Social Scene in 1 day, making technical and artistic choices regarding instruments and recording techniques, in order to create their own sound identity during the recording process.

Later in the academic year, the students will work with the multitrack of the recording to individually create a final mix of the song.
